Beschreibung
Traditional and religious practices still play a role in Israeli modern society. Nevertheless, women from various social groups
made gains in many realms, including leadership of social changes, struggling on the labour market for an equal income level, and representation in the political and public arena, over the past decades. In this respect the lecture will reflect on the role of women in the Israeli society today, through the profiles of contemporary Israeli heroines.
