Beschreibung

The 11th conference on Logistics Management (LM 2019) of the Scientific Commission for Logistics (WKLOG) of the German Academic Association for Business Research (VHB) is organized by Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg in cooperation with Merseburg University of Applied Sciences. The objective of the LM conferences is to provide a forum for participants from universities and related industries to present and discuss new ideas and technical developments related to the management of logistic systems.

The LM 2019 conference will put special focus on the digitalization of supply chains and decarbonisation in the transport industry. Related to these topics, keynotes will be given by Prof. Ola Jabali (Politecnico Milano, Italy), Prof. A. Michael Knemeyer (Ohio State University, USA), and Prof. Jan Fabian Ehmke (Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany). The conference offers a wide range of lectures from academia and industry and covering the special focus of the conference and further topics of recent interest. A best paper award sponsored by DHL will be presented at the conference to the best full paper contributed by a young researcher or a team of authors with at least one young researcher as an author. LM2019 further contains a rich social program including a welcome reception at the State Museum of Prehistory and a conference dinner at the Moritzburg Art Museum of Saxony-Anhalt.
