Beschreibung

The 2-hour information session provides an overview of the DFG's individual funding opportunities specifically for the early postdoc phase, when young postdocs attempt to gain independence from their PhD supervisor. The funding conditions of the Walter Benjamin Programme and the Individual Research Grant Programme with the module „Temporary Position for Principal Investigators” will be presented. In addition, funding opportunities for young postdocs within the EU framework programme Horizon Europe, in particular the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships for research projects abroad, will be presented.

The main course topics include:

• Presentation of different funding programmes of the DFG
• Presentation of the EU MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships
• Introduction of the funding conditions
